About me

Hello, I am Matthias Staudt. a native German speaker and I translate and interpret English and Spanish into German, but also English and German into Spanish.

My Spanish is native-equivalent: I live in Spain and got the  Superior Diplome in Spanish in 1996, did my Ph.D. studies and  thesis in Spain, including conferences, articles etc. Since 1990. On the other hand, I have been working continuously with English (particularly scientific).

My expertise in translation lies in the scientific/technical field (mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial machines & devices, energy generation (fuel burning, turbines, generators, solar), vehicles and its parts, batteries/electrical equipment (manuals, patents, descriptions, other kinds of texts), medical devices, wastewater, packing, air conditioning). On the other hand, my allround experience is solid: tourism, publicity, legal, sports, politics, history and health.

I have got ten-years of experience in translation (three years full-time).

* Physicist in Spain (Licenciado en Física,1998)

* Doctor (Ph.D.) in Applied Physics in Spain (2004)
